Help Save Starving Manatees

More than 1,100 manatees died last year in the deadliest year on record. Sadly, hundreds more have died already in 2022.

Manatees are starving to death because Florida's water is so polluted, which is wiping out the sea grass they depend on for survival. What's happening to these gentle creatures is ecocide — and it has to stop now.

Sign a petition today demanding protection for manatees.

More than half of Florida manatee deaths last year were in prime year-round habitat in the Indian River Lagoon on the Atlantic Coast, where thousands of acres of seagrass have been destroyed over the last decade.

Time is running out for this species. We've already lost 12% of the estimated Florida manatee population in 2021, and 2022 is on track to be just as bad.

Tell the Fish and Wildlife Service that manatees should be fully protected under the Endangered Species Act before it's too late.
