2004 Presidential Election

Re-introduce common decency and civility into the election process that has been lost in this "season of political theater."
Urge the 2004 Presidential candidates and their campaigns to raise the tenor of the campaign to an acceptable level of civility and decency. The American public deserves to hear definitive, straightforward plans from both candidates on Foreign Policy; National Security; Civil Liberties; Health Care; the Economy; the Environment, and Education, etc., not sound bites. Negative ads and virulent, vitriolic rhetoric employed by political operatives and pundits of both sides only serve to divert attention and incense the American public. Leaders of both parties must accept responsibility and honestly lead by not allowing grave injustices, that have far-reaching consequences for the public, to be perpetrated further. By "dumbing" down the debate, political leaders of both parties are showing contempt for the election process and the intelligence of the American people.
