Pledge to protect snow leopards by saying no to illegal wildlife products

The illegal wildlife trade is a multibillion-dollar industry pushing many species to the brink of extinction.

Snow leopards are not immune from this devastating crisis. These threatened big cats are killed and illegally traded for their fur and other body parts, including teeth, claws, and bones.

Many consumers unknowingly fuel the demand for wildlife products by purchasing items made from threatened or endangered species without being aware of where they came from or how they impact wildlife populations. According to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, a significant part of the world's illegal trade in wild animal products is driven by U.S. consumers.

In addition to being victims of this deadly trade, snow leopards face many other threats, including habitat loss, climate change, retaliatory killing due to their predation on livestock and the decline of prey populations.
