Boycott Kimberly-Clark Consumer Paper Products
- by: Vicki Vaughan
- recipient: Thomas Falk, CEO, Kimberly-Clark Corporation
We are boycotting all Kimberly-Clark consumer paper products which include the following brands: Kleenex, Scott, Viva, Cottonelle, Huggies, Pull-ups, GoodNites, Little Swimmers, Kotex, Depend, Poise, The Neat Sheet.
We will end the boycott only when Kimberly-Clark stops destroying virgin forests.
One of the worlds largest producers of consumer throw away paper products, Kimberly-Clark continues to use wood pulp obtained from North American virgin and boreal forests within the United States and Canada. These delicate ecosystems are essential for the survival of hundreds of species of flora and fauna. The destruction of these habitats has an adverse effect on the health and survival of people and wildlife. Recycled and renewable sources of paper fibers are available and consumers demand that corporations act responsibly and in the best interests of a healthy planet, essential to the survival of us all. The signers of this petition have agreed to boycott all Kimberly-Clark consumer products until Kimberly-Clark stops it's ravenous destruction of our pristine forests. The following brands will not be purchased, instead we will reward those corporations who chose to meet consumer demands by providing products made from renewable and recycled fibers. We will not purchase:
Kleenex, Scott, Viva, Cottonelle, Huggies, Pull-ups, GoodNites, Little Swimmers, Kotex, Depend, Poise, The Neat Sheet.
We will use our purchasing power as an incentive for Kimberly-Clark to listen to consumers and their expectations for responsible leadership and save our precious few remaining virgin and boreal forests.
