Keep West Virginia's Trails Open to Mountain Bikes

Petition to request West Virginia’s elected Congressional Delegation to keep mountain biking permissible in areas recently announced by the Forest Service as possible future Wilderness areas.
We the undersigned request that West Virginia’s elected officials vote to keep mountain biking permissible in all areas designated as future Wilderness Areas. We are not asking our Representatives to allow mountain biking in areas which already prohibit mountain biking. However, recent information has surfaced that West Virginia’s future Forest Service Plan intends to restrict access to mountain bikes in areas which currently allow mountain biking. These areas listed as possible future Wilderness Areas are destination spots for thousands of mountain bikers from all over the United States. We think it unfair to single-out mountain biking and request that you, as West Virginia’s Congressional Representatives, not approve any plan which would restrict access to the many cyclists who currently enjoy traveling West Virginia’s trails on bicycles. Thank you for your help.
