Close Zoo that Fed a Live Donkey to its Tigers

A zoo in China has done the unthinkable. In front of hundreds of onlookers a disgruntled zoo investor ordered his henchmen to toss a live donkey into a tiger enclosure so they could “save on animal feed.” The donkey didn’t stand a chance.

After 30 minutes of horror the donkey died in the bloodied waters of the tiger enclosure. As if that wasn’t enough the men also tried to toss in a sheep before they were luckily stopped by onlookers. All this because the investor was angry he was unable to make a decent return on his investment.

What happened at this zoo is a story of stomach-turning cruelty. To kill a living, breathing animal for spite is something that most can't even imagine. Officials at the Jiangsu Yancheng Wild Animal World have stated nothing like this would ever happen again. That’s not good enough.

Let’s join together to ask the city of Changzhou to close Wild Animal World and give the animals to sanctuaries where they can live the rest of their lives in peace not fear.

Dear Changzhou City Government Officials,

What happened at Wild Animal World was shameful. We hope that you bring the zoo officials and the investor responsible for this heinous crime to justice. But more importantly we hope you close the doors on this cruel institution by closing it down and sending the animals to an animal sanctuary where they belong.
