All of the presidential debates are over—and the moderators wasted every opportunity to ask about one of the most pressing issues we face. In fact, the words "climate change" never crossed a moderator's lips.

Americans are already suffering the consequences of climate change. Not only do they deserve to know how candidates up and down the ballot will address this crisis—they deserve to be armed with this knowledge before they walk into the voting booth.

You can help change the media's narrative: Take action today, and tell the major news networks and papers to cover the candidates' stands on climate change!

Hello.

I'm writing today to ask you to put all candidates up and down the ballot on record on how they will address the climate crisis.

According to a recent online Guardian US poll, 1 in 5 respondents cited climate change as the "one issue that affects your life you wish the presidential candidates were discussing more." And it's easy to see why: From the wildfires in the West to increased storm surges in the East, Americans are already suffering the consequences of climate change. Yet during all of the presidential debates this election, not a single moderator ever mentioned the climate crisis.

Before Americans walk into the voting booth, they deserve to know how the people they're voting for will handle the most serious environmental threat humanity has ever faced. We need a robust, national debate on clean energy and climate solutions in 2016. Media outlets like yours play a critical role in making that happen, but we're running out of time.

Please ensure that in the remaining days leading up to the election, your audience knows exactly where all candidates stand on this critical issue.
