Will you Help to Eradicate Hunger by 2030?

In rural Zimbabwe, Betty relies on her small garden plot to provide food for herself and her family. If her crops fail, they will go hungry.

As the climate crisis intensifies, the formal farming methods that farmers, like Betty, have been using for generations are no longer reliable.

In response, The Salvation Army in Zimbabwe is training small-scale farmers in climate-smart farming techniques to help them boost their harvests and overcome hunger.

The climate crisis, COVID-19 pandemic, and international conflicts have contributed to increasing numbers of people experiencing food insecurity. In 2022, between 691 and 783 million people faced hunger and 900 million individuals faced severe food insecurity.

Will you lend your support to eradicate extreme poverty for all people everywhere by 2030?

This petition seeks your support to empower and equip farmers like Betty across the world to provide food for herself and her family.

The UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. The Salvation Army, present in 134 countries, is working alongside communities to address SDGs and find solutions to issues of poverty and injustice.
