Your comments last year helped pressure the EPA to improve their rules, including an update requiring regular monitoring at ALL well sites! But there is more work to be done.
In the United States, over 17 million people live close enough to oil and gas operations to threaten their health with toxic air pollution that the industry emits. For these communities and our climate, these rules must be as strong as the law allows.
It is time we stand up for environmental justice for these people and to protect future generations from avoidable climate catastrophe.
We need the Biden administration to use all of its authority to quickly enact strong solutions for pollution to meet the president's climate, public health, and justice commitments.
