World leaders: Invest in clean water for all

Almost one in ten people still live without clean water close to home. And we think that's unacceptable.

Merifa and Rachel go to school together in Chinganji, rural Malawi, where they share the same dream of becoming a doctor.

But their community is a place of two halves. One half has clean water, and the other half doesn't. At the end of the school day, Merifa goes home to clean water – giving her the chance to work hard towards her goals and enjoy her free time at choir practice.

Rachel's homelife is dramatically different. While Merifa is studying or singing, she spends hours, day in, day out, collecting water with her mum.

And Rachel is far from alone. In Malawi, families spend an average of 55 minutes a day collecting water. That's time when children like Rachel could be studying, or playing with their friends, making precious childhood memories.

If you think governments should make clean water for all an international development priority, add your name today.

Where there's clean water, there's hope. Join us in demanding world leaders tackle the water crisis, and make sure children like Rachel have the clean water they need to stay healthy, go to school, and thrive.
