JD Vance is making the stunning and dangerous claim that the president and the executive branch can simply ignore court decisions that it disagrees with. This defies the Constitution and 200+ years of history, and it essentially turns the president into an autocrat who can do whatever he wants, without checks on his power.
As a lawyer with a degree from Yale Law, Vance knows better. And yet, he has repeatedly launched this broadside attack on a key pillar of our judicial system, a foundation of our very democracy itself.
And there is no way in hell he should be allowed to remain a lawyer in good standing. He should be disbarred immediately, and have his license taken away. If he is hellbent on defying and destroying our system of justice, he cannot be a sanctioned part of it.
