Call to Justice: Pastor Who Rapes Boys to Make Them Straight Will Serve No Jail Time
Brent Girouex, a youth pastor from Iowa, is going to get away with probation for raping four teenage boys. His justification for raping these boys was to "rape away the gay" by praying for them while he forced intercourse on them. Eight other rape victims have come forward since.
He allegedly told the police that "when they ejaculate, they would be getting rid of the evil thoughts in their mind." This is absolutely disgusting.
And thanks to our judicial system, Brent Girouex won't have to spend one minute day in jail. Brent Girouex has been given 5 years probation because the judge has decided to suspend his original sentence of 17 years in jail.
We can't allow our judicial system to let this happen. We have to make it clear that rape is a serious felony. We need to let these boys and other rape victims know that their rapists won't get away with a mere probation.
Tell Judge Greg Steensland that probation is a pathetic sentence for these horrific crimes. Brent Girouex needs to be in jail for a long time.
Dear Judge Greg Steensland,
I am absolutely outraged by your decision to suspend Brent Girouex's original sentence of 17 years in jail.
These boys, and numerous others who are coming forward, were raped and violated by a pastor they trusted in his disgusting effort to keep boys "sexually pure for God."
5 years probation is not enough. What these boys had to go through is horrible. We need to let them and other rape victims know that their rapists are fairly brought to justice.

I am calling on you to send Brent Girouex to jail for what he did.
Sincerely,
