Trump Used Nazi-Era Language About Creating a "Unified Reich" If He Is Elected Again

Donald Trump's official Truth Social account recently shared a video claiming that, if he wins the presidential election in November, he intends to create "a unified Reich."

A unified Reich. As in, the German word for "Empire." A word that is most commonly associated with Adolf Hitler, who used the phrase "Third Reich" to describe Nazi Germany.

Now, Trump's press team is declaring that this was an "accident." But there's no way to accidentally press the "share" button on something that includes the word "Reich."

Express outrage and demand an apology from Trump immediately! He must demonstrate that he understands the gravity of this reference and show remorse. Sign the petition now!

The video Trump's account shared claimed that once he creates this Reich in the U.S., it will lead to "industrial strength and production" and a variety of other very Hitler-esque sounding things. And in fact, these words were explicitly Hitler-esque, because they were taken directly from a Wikipedia entry that describes the rise of the Nazi party in the aftermath of World War I.

There has been no apology, no demonstration of understanding about how obscene and shocking this comparison was. Only a shrugging of the shoulders and blaming a staffer who they claim wasn't paying enough attention.

But when it comes to videos referencing Nazis, there's really no way to overlook the severity of that content and its implications.

Donald Trump must make it clear that he understands how horrific it is to glowingly reference Adolf Hitler's "Third Reich" as an ideal that he aspires to recreate. He must show accountability. And he must apologize. Sign the petition to demand he finally, for once in his life, show that he understands the weight of this insinuation and take responsibility.
