Abolish Bill S49, the "Parent's Bill of Rights"

The bill, passed 2023/08/16;
It gives parents "the right to know if a school employee or contractor acts to—

(i) change a minor child’s gender markers, pronouns, or preferred name; or

(ii) allow a child to change the child’s sex-based accommodations, including locker rooms or bathrooms".
These put certain students in very dangerous situations if their parents are not accepting of their identity. Complete transparency can put a child at risk. The suicide rates among LGBTQ+ youth who are outed are vastly higher than those who come out themselves. This will increase suicide rates among transgender youth. I feel that this bill should be abolished, thus, I hope those sympathetic to these issues will sign this petition.
