Action Needed: McClure Middle School Door Security

As concerned parents of students at McClure Middle School, we are aware of recent threats at various Seattle Public Schools.  We expect SPS to ensure our school (and all SPS schools) are outfitted with a door buzzer system as soon as possible to restrict entry to unauthorized people.  It is essential for office staff to validate requests from the office vs. having to leave their desks to open the door for every potential visitor, late student etc.. We know that several other SPS schools have secure door entry and we need action from the district on the specific date that they will complete this safety measure.  In this day and age, this is basic school security and we expect the district to prioritize this action.
