EAZA Must Accept Responsibility And Face Their Crimes Against Animals!

“The European Union has adopted common minimum standards for housing and caring for animals in zoos with a view to reinforcing the role of zoos in conserving biodiversity.”
“According to Scottish daily mail 40 animals have been killed at Edinburgh Zoo since 1992”
This is not good enough! We demand that every animal that is held in captivity for profit MUST have more than adequate housing and care and that the captivity of all near extinct and endangered animals must not be introduced in zoo breeding schemes anymore!
This should be changed so that all animals held in captivity should be freed if possible and if not then NO MORE animals from the wild should be brought into zoo's for profitable means.
Not forgetting the horrible dissection of Marius the Giraffe which was utterly shocking. It was just a promotional stunt to provide extra money at the cost of a beautiful majestic animal...
Ideally all zoo's should be closed down. With modern technology it is possible to educate people about animals without taking away their liberties.
These animals have no voices but let's be a voice for the voiceless!

We the people see that even though you may believe you are caring for the animals in the zoo's of the European Union, what you are actually doing is keeping them prisoners. The animals are sad and depressed which is clearly visible from the pacing animals that are in distress.
In this day of age is not needed or acceptable to keep animals that belong in the wild in tiny cages without the basic needs they require. There is now many other ways to educate people about animals without keeping them trapped in poor conditions. The Internet is a massive resource which can provide that education but your company believes that it is still morally acceptable to dissect perfectly healthy animals that do not meet your breeding programme. This is wrong and any human with a conscience knows this. Please look deep inside yourselves and see that any animal that is trapped in a cage cannot be happy and living to their full potential. These animals deserve the liberty they were meant to have and for some reason your company believes that YOU can take away their liberties.
The people want answers and results and now is the time for it. The animals have no voice and they cannot protest to their cruel treatment but we can. And we will not stop fighting for their liberties.
This petition is to request that EAZA review their policies and accept responsible that you are indeed keeping beautiful and rare animals in conditions that are nowhere near good enough. You must stop your breeding programmes as they are purely for promotional tactics. Animals belong in the wild and as long as you have animals from the wild in your zoo's you are responsible for taking away their freedom and basic rights.
We request that you do not breed any more animals or bring in any more from the wild. These animals have souls and they also have basic needs that your company is not meeting.
