Tens of thousands of dogs and monkeys annually fall victim to these laboratories, living in tiny steel cages or cement cells in isolation. Whether they are sweet domestic dogs, intelligent monkeys, rabbits, cats, rats, mice or any other animal, such treatment is clearly horrific abuse and cruelty. Experimentation on animals is not relevant to human health and they should not be subjected to such brutality.
The purpose of this petition is to urge Congress to place a ban on the use of dogs, monkeys and other animals for experiments nationwide in favor of promising, lifesaving and pertinent non-animal research.
