Canary Islands: Please Take Drastic Action to Tackle Plastic Pollution, Littering and Fly-Tipping!

The amount of litter just discarded out in the rural areas of Lanzarote, for example, is atrocious. The amount of plastics ruining the sea/ocean in Lanzarote is despicable. Every year, millions/billions of marine animals, birds and land-based die due to plastic rubbish. The wildlife of the Canary Islands are iconic and of vital importance to the islands' ecosystems. Yet, many of the Spanish on the islands (and, probably, foreigners as well) seem to care very little (or not at all) for the vital, native Canarian animals and the wildlife in general. Unlike the UK and other countries, the Canarian Islands haven't, to my knowledge, as of yet, banned plastic straws. It is time to introduce much stricter, better laws against fly-tipping and littering, and to ban single-use plastic packaging and single-use plastic straws and cups, in the Canary Islands!
Thanks.
