Expose the Scam, Fix the Road: We Demand Action on the Abandoned Federal Road Project!

What happened:
The contract for the construction and rehabilitation of the Keffi–Nasarawa–Toto Federal Express Road was awarded, yet the project has either not commenced or has been abandoned midway. Despite funds being allocated for this vital infrastructure, there is no visible progress on the ground. This strongly suggests a case of mismanagement, negligence, or outright fraud in the handling of the contract.

Why we’re concerned:
The Keffi–Nasarawa–Toto Road is a critical route for daily transportation, commerce, and safety. The current state of the road poses a serious risk to lives, increases travel time, damages vehicles, and stifles economic activity. The suspected contract scam is not just a betrayal of public trust, but a direct obstruction to the development and well-being of our communities.

What we want to happen now:
We demand the following immediate actions:

1. A full investigation by the Federal Ministry of Works, the EFCC, and the ICPC into the contract process and disbursement of funds.
2. Public release of all relevant documents, including the names of the contractors and project timelines.
3. Sanctions against any individual or company found guilty of misappropriation or fraud.
4. Immediate mobilization of a credible contractor to begin or complete the road project.
