Stop the trade of ALL exotic animals in the UK

It is apparent from reading news articles and watching Monkey Life on TV that the trade of exotic pets in the UK is out of control. The biggest issue for me is the selling of monkeys and apes to the British public who, in the main, do not know how to look after these animals correctly. This is a cruel and inhumane trade which needs to be made illegal in the UK. All council need to be banned from issuing licences for all apes, monkeys, reptiles and other exotic pets and the pet trade need to be held to account and severely prosecuted when found trading in any of these animals.
