With the low to zero vacancy rates all across British Columbia, tenants are forced with the heartbreaking decision to rehome their beloved pets, in order to find accommodations for their families. In many cases these pets have been family members for many years, and this seperation can have long lasting effects on both the family and pet .The Ontario Residential Tenancy Act prohibits landlords from discriminating against pet owners, and we would like to see the same rules applied to the Residential Tenancy Act of British Columbia
