Fair Is Fair, Mitch — No SCOTUS Vote Until After the Election!

BREAKING: Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy just announced that he will retire on July 31.

Unfortunately, this news means that President Trump has an opportunity to nominate another conservative judge and swing the Supreme Court to the far right. Abortion rights, same-sex marriage, and myriad civil rights are all on the line.

With an election approaching in 131 days, it's hard not to remember Republican efforts to block President Obama's SCOTUS nominee, Merrick Garland, ahead of the 2016 election. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell steadfastly argued that the nomination should wait until after the election so that Americans could have a voice.

Well, Mitch, we want a voice this time, too!

Please join in demanding that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell delay any vote until after the midterm elections so that we have a say in the direction of the court!

Republicans cannot claim to be driven by principles only when it serves them. We're currently much closer to the election than when President Obama first nominated Merrick Garland. Allowing a vote of a Trump nominee is complete and utter hypocrisy — and we're sick of it!

Fair is fair, Mitch. Stand by your 'principles' and give Americans a voice in who the next Supreme Court justice will be. No vote until after the election!
