There are some amazing women worldwide that seem to go above and beyond in helping preserve our national parks and the wildlife within.  Such is the case in the Congo of South Africa where a group of women work to protect animals in national forests, keeping them safe from dangers of harm and poaching.

Read about these women http://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsandnature/women-protecting-threatened-wildlife-in-virunga-national-park/  who devote their lives in protecting some iconic wildlife within the Virunga National Park such as the elephants, giraffes, mountain gorillas and buffalo. The area spans over 3,000 square miles and is home to many endangered species, often due to poaching, crime and violence.

Supporting the works of these female rangers is a crucial effort. As stated in the article, women had applied to become a ranger for many years, but the training regimes are arduous, and so far, none had managed to pass the rigorous physical and mental challenges that had been set. However, many women have proved themselves to be worthy in defending the continent’s wildlife.  The Virunga National Park is the oldest and one of the largest parks in South Africa.

Our efforts in this petition is to encourage the African President of the Congo to provide full support of these female rangers both financially and physically in an effort to stop animal poaching and brutality.  You can help us in our efforts by signing and sharing this petition.  These female rangers are a huge asset to the national park and need full support.

Joseph Kabila, President of the Central African Republic of Congo – We strongly urge you to provide full support both financially and physically to the women rangers that works to protect wildlife in the Virunga National Park.  These women are a crucial asset to your wildlife and the habitants of the national park.  Ensure you provide whatever support is necessary to ensure these women can carry out their vital work of protecting the iconic animals of the Virunga National Park.
