McDonalds shouldn't feel like a sweatshop!
We were informed that the thermostat cannot be set below 74°F. Working at a fast food place like McDonald's makes the store very hot. The day I'm writing this; it is 91°F outside while the lobby and front counter area are the same temperature as outside. I am concerned because we have had customers leave because of the heat in the lobby area as well as employees feeling feint from heat exhaustion. They are enforcing this rule to save on their power bill and bought house fans for us to use instead. Not only do they obstruct the walkway but they don't make much of a difference in overall temperature. I would like for the company to be more open to a higher power bill instead of making the crew members suffer.
