After numerous bans for violating Canada's Animal Cruelty Act, this woman is back at it! This time she is alleged to have fraudulently sold two kittens as male "Maine Coon" cats. After the owner took them to a vet, it was clear the cats were neither Maine coon or male! She is allegedly selling animals without proper veterinary clearances, she has sold animals she has stolen peoples family pets to sell them, she has sold sick, neglected animals... time and time again and yet, thus far has only received fines or probation. Tell the Crown attorney's office and the judge that the people of Canada and elsewhere have had enough of this! She is making a mockery of the justice system and it is poor, innocent defenseless animals paying the price over and over again. Enough is enough.
This woman will not stop. She needs to be jailed. She has no regard for any court orders or for the welfare of any animals.
Look at her history-
2007 - Gail Benoit was arrested. "She was screaming obscenities and rocking violently in the back seat of a police car when she was taken away."
2009 - CONVICTED of ANIMAL CRUELTY involving ten malnourished and neglected puppies sentenced to a $1,500 fine.
2009 - CONVICTED of obstruction and assaulting a peace officer; sentenced to 21 days in jail.
2014 - CONVICTED of dog theft. Sentenced to 15 months’ probation and banned Benoit from owning, buying or selling pets for 15-month period.
2016 - CHARGED again for violating the Animal Protection Actunder Section 21 (6) and 18B (2)
