a "safe haven" for trans healthcare. This means that regardless of "sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression," or even NJ residency, people seeking quality healthcare there are protected.This is an amazing victory -- and it is time all other states follow suit!

The pure hostility being thrown at a community whose members are simply asking for the freedom to be who they are is gut wrenching.
The GOP is perpetuating inflammatory, untrue, and hateful rhetoric for political gain and risking countless lives in the process, especially the non-binary and trans youth!But every state has the capacity to proactively respond to this onslaught of hateful legislation by
becoming safe havens for LGBTQ+ healthcare, and more specifically, gender-affirming care. California was the first state to officially declare itself as a safe haven for all people, regardless of gender identity or sexuality. Since then, other states have followed suit.
There is a precedent for care and compassion that can actively combat the cruel laws many states have been able to pass. But to keep up with the rampant, fascistic policies of the GOP, many more states need to step up.
We must protect and stand with our trans community members.
