Urge Opening of Conservation Reserve Program Land Due to Drought
- Farmers should be allowed to hay and graze Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) due to the drought throughout the country. Due to drought and pastures drying up, livestock and horse owners are being forced to feed hay early which is putting a huge strain on the hay market as a whole. With the shortage of cuttings the current hay market will not be able to sustain all the animals for the year.
- If we don't get the CRP land opened, many animals will starve due to no food, which is out of control of the owner. I ENCOURAGE all farmers, ranchers, cattlemen, horse owners, and ANYONE who has a vested interest in the welfare of animals to sign this petition, and help with the strain on the hay market.
