If Mr. Ashe does delist the Grizzly of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem , than at least they should have a place that their numbers will be sure to thrive. The bears and the wolves which reside inside the park itself should be AFFORDED the full protection of the Endangered Species Act and a twenty mile wide no hunting zone all around the park would go a long way into the Yellowstone Grizzly and Wolf safety .
A twenty mile wide no hunting zone would keep hunters from luring these animals outside the park boundaries by the use of calls and bait stations.
Therefore MR. ASHE and Sec. Sally Jewel listen to us who have signed this petition and adhere to our request.
Director Ashe , you can do this , establish this twenty mile no hunting of Grizzly and Wolf zone around YELLOWSTONE, you can put stipulations on endangered wildlife such as predators , like the Mexican Gray Wolf Stipulations in regard to their numbers and area. We request that you and SEC. Jewel establish such a zone just for the wolves and grizzlies of Yellowstone park. People flock to this beautiful park because inside it’s boundaries it is like it used to be WILD and without these predators like the Grizzly and Wolf Yellowstone will lose a special meaning of what it should be a True Wilderness area .
