Its everybody's right to have access to the beach

Residence and visitors to the Douglas Shire value and appreciate the natural environment that this beautiful tropical region offers. However, it can be dependent on the physical ability of an individual as to how environments such as Four Mile Beach can be accessed and appreciated. People living with disabilities, the elderly and frail, and those living with certain health conditions who use mobility devices to get around find great difficulty in accessing public spaces that more able bodied people take for granted.
We support in seeking improved access to Four Mile beach for those who are less physically able and ask that the Douglas Shire Council provide appropriate infrastructure as part of their capital works program.
