Justice for burning animals alive in Dzerzhinsk, Russia!

    In Dzerzhinsk in a stable which belongs to Ekaterina Shuvalova, six horses ( and two unborn as two mares were due to give birth!) have been burnt alive. Animals been destroyed, because they were at the center of infection of the African plague of pigs. One mare named Mystery was about to have a foal on March 3rd. Authorities with special trained forces came by night and created panic.  To owners of animals it has not been shown any documents. Police have assured owners of animals that there is nothing to worry, that only quarantine will be applied to the horses. Then they applied force, have taken away animals from owners, have poured petrol around horses and burnt them alive. Raged criminals justified murders talking about a pork plague.

    We ask to initiate a court case based on facts. We ask to procesute all crime participants who planned and done this vicious act and those who used service position and have made burning animals alive. Horses, pigs, cats, dogs, and other animals in the whole area have been destroyed.

     1) The owner of stables - Ekaterina Shuvalova knew that neighbouring pigs have virus, therefore she went to the veterinary control, they have assured, that only pigs will be destroyed.

    2) From a pigsty up to a stable there are more than 25 meters (lawful sanitary-protective zone), there were no contacts between pigs and horses.

    3) Police and vet control have arrived without documents, but armed with Special Forces called omon and people which lulled, burnt, and broke.

    4) The narcosis which have been brought for pigs, has not worked on horses, therefore raged people simply burned down sleeping horses. Horses woke up in pain, struggled, moved, and tried to get free, but tortured animals were hold with an excavator. Horses have been burned down not all at once, on by one.

    5) The owner fainted after her first horse %u2013 pregnant mare Mystery has been burned. Shuvalova were taken to the hospital straight away.
   

We ask for justice to the named corrupted civil servants and unnamed inhumane militia who are brainwashed and trained in cruelty. No way we can entrust power to such people!

    1. Shantsev Valery Pavlinovich - the governor of the Nizhniy Novgorod area.

    Has given the written order on liquidation of animals because of African plague of pigs, and then 19-02-2011 at 23:00 has given the oral order on ignition of horses.

    2. Kolobov Evgenie Alekseevich, the head of committee on State Veterinary control in Nizhny Novgorod Region. He explains nothing, non humanly repeating about the destroyed pigs and rats.

    3. Nikulin Dmitry Mihajlovich, vice-head of Committee of State Veterinary control in Nizhny Novgorod Region. He explains that " we carried out the order ",  trying to make up absolutely impractical excuses.

    4. Belova Yana Sergeevna, the veterinary who carried out "order" on ignition of horses. Explains she was afraid losing her job. Well she will definitely loose her job now as she is NOT the vet.

    In the instruction there is no mentioning of any destruction besides pigs and wandering animals. It is absolutely senseless to destroy animals which are not ill with this illness.

     The African plague of pigs is virus disease affecting only pigs. House and wild animals do not get the disease. No one else is unreceptive to this virus - neither people, nor animals, even cockroaches. However, both people, and animals, and insects can transfer a virus mechanically. The instruction on carrying out the actions on liquidation also stipulates quarantine and ban of sale for all animals in a quarantine zone.

    Destruction of any animals except for pigs and vagrant animals (as their moving is impossible to supervise) with African plague of pigs never been practised. There are no documents proving destruction of pets besides pigs. Neither in a quarantine zone, nor in the center of disease. Not so long ago there was flash of African plague of pigs in Leningrad region, and all was finished accurately without a terror. To prevent mechanical propagation of a virus by horses, even if they contacted directly to sick pigs, was enough to put animals in quarantine, and to put disinfection rugs at doors. Any other special measures were not required.

    Representative Rosselhoznadora has confirmed it:

    -         To tell the truth, the case is very strange, - is spoken by press-secretary Rosselhoznadzora Alexey Alekseenko. - African plague of pigs is dangerous to pigs - animals fall ill quickly and in masses. The case in a zone of infection is simply inevitable. The virus is passed by an animal, both insects, and air-drop by, also if healthy pigs eat the infected meat. But the virus cannot be passed, neither to people, nor other animals. And if destruction of sick pigs is proved economically as a direct threat to a pig-breeding facility, the murder of horses was absolutely unnecessary.

     We ask to stop murder of innocent animals and to institute criminal proceedings to all guilty of planning and implementing burning.

     Only actions with good intentions should be a measure of the person, and only the compassion will rescue our society from ignorant aggression.
