These baby kittens were found on 25th September in Galway by people on holidays. The kittens were dumped at the roadside, tied together with wire, which had cut into their flesh. Their tiny feet were partly truncated. They did not survive this abuse.
Dear Mr Ahern,
We, the undersigned, wish to express our total outrage at the barbaric and sick act of cruelty carried out on Saturday, 25th September on three defenceless and innocent kittens in Galway. The week old kittens, their eyes still closed, were found dumped on the roadside, tied together with wire which had cut into their flesh. Parts of their feet were missing.
I cannot imagine the distress, pain and suffering these poor unfortunate kittens went through. So severe were their injuries, they died at the vet clinic. As an animal lover, it is extremely upsetting to hear and read of such cruelty.
As Minister for Justice, I am pleading that you do everything in your power to ensure that the perpetrator(s) of this heinous crime be found, charged and the full weight of the law brought to bear on them. As Minister for Justice it is within your remit to ensure the perpetrators of such crimes are severely punished to ensure a message is sent out that this type of crime on defenceless and trusting animals is completely unacceptable and will be dealt with accordingly.
Yours sincerely,
