This would be a kickass tour. Metallica and The Offspring are both awesome bands and they changed the lives of any punk rocker or metalhead. Both bands have many things in common; they have been labeled as the best-selling artists in America of all time, sold at least over 50 million records worldwide, released defining albums (Metallica with Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice for All and The Black Album, The Offspring with Smash and Americana), achieved gold or platinum status with their records and had #1 hits in America. Bob Rock has also produced their albums. Metallica and The Offspring are both releasing new albums in 2014. That year is the 30th anniversary of Metallica's Ride the Lightning and the 20th anniversary of The Offspring's Smash album, which produced their biggest hits "Come Out and Play" and "Self Esteem" and has sold at least more than 15 million copies worldwide, making i tthe best-selling independent record of all time. When both bands release their new albums next year, they should tour together because of their success, an awesome legacy they left behind and the fact that they made a great deal in over the past four decades.
