Help make the minimum sentence for animal abusers 5 years!

In many cases of animal abuse, the abusers don't face serious jail time. These criminals should have to at least have to spend a minimum of 5 years in prison. In the state of California, it is normal to see someone treat their animals despicably. It should not be like that, it is inhumane. People see animals as objects, not as the loving and caring animals they are. Please sign, I am hoping making 5 years the minimum will help decrease this abuse.
