Ukraine urgently needs protection from Russian bombs. The country's air defense forces are doing a heroic job of countering Russia's missile strikes, but they are unfairly outnumbered.
The United States and it's NATO allies must step up to help prevent further devastation by declaring a "CLOSE THE SKY" no-fly zone over Ukraine.
In the past, the West has imposed no fly zones over Libya, Bosnia and Iraq. Just like Ukraine, these are not member countries of NATO. Are the innocent citizens of Ukraine any less deserving of help from the strongest military powers of the world?
Without air support, delivery routes will be cut off to Ukranians depriving them of food, medical and military supplies to those whose lives are in danger.
Newborn babies and their mothers, the elderly and disabled across the country now struggle with unimaginable physical and psychological trauma. We need to evacuate these innocent people now to avoid life long injuries and further deaths.
This can only be done by CLOSING THE SKY to Russian bombs that are targeting homes, hospitals, schools and places of prayer.
These acts constitute war crimes under the international laws of the Geneva Convention and further threaten the peace and stability of our world. To stand by idly, is to be an accomplice to these crimes.
A country and its people are fighting for their lives, freedom and independence from an unprovoked aggressor and unhinged leader in the Russian Federation. Only the United States and its NATO allies can provide CLOSE THE SKY air defense protection.
We simply cannot stand by and watch as a massacre takes place. Demand an immediate CLOSE THE SKY policy over Ukraine from the political leaders of the United States and all of its NATO allied countries.
We must stand up to this deadly aggression. If not now, when? Together, there is strength in numbers!
