Classify Immortality As A Human Right

To: The U.S. Government, U.S. Congress, and President of the United States

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the U.S. government take immediate action to classify immortality as a fundamental human right. This petition calls for the recognition of life extension technologies and the pursuit of immortality as central to the protection of human dignity, personal freedom, and well-being.

Why This Matters:
Throughout history, humans have aspired to overcome the limitations of age and death. Advances in biotechnology, genetics, and medicine have made it possible to extend human life significantly and even explore the possibility of achieving immortality. However, societal and governmental attitudes toward this potential are still lagging behind the scientific and technological progress that is already taking place.

As our understanding of aging and biological decay improves, so does our ability to slow, halt, or even reverse these processes. Yet, our laws and policies have not yet caught up with this reality. People should have the right to live free from the burden of aging, to pursue life-extending therapies without fear of legal or regulatory barriers, and to live as long as they are able to maintain health and well-being.

What We Are Asking For:
We are asking the U.S. government to:

Declare immortality a human right by acknowledging the importance of life extension technologies and their potential for human flourishing.
Support research and development of anti-aging treatments, longevity therapies, and the eventual achievement of immortality, ensuring that citizens have access to these advancements.
Enforce policies that remove regulatory obstacles to the pursuit of longer, healthier lives, allowing for the free development of life-extending technologies.
Promote education, awareness, and ethical considerations around the implications of immortality, ensuring that all citizens have the opportunity to make informed decisions about the potential of immortal life.
Why Immortality is a Human Right:
Preservation of Human Dignity: Every individual has the right to live without the fear of inevitable decline due to aging. Our biological limitations should not be an obstacle to achieving the best possible quality of life.
Freedom of Choice: Individuals should have the autonomy to make decisions about their own lifespan. If they wish to pursue life-extending therapies, they should have the right to do so without bureaucratic interference.
The Right to Health and Life: Immortality should not be an abstract or unattainable goal—it should be a goal within the reach of every citizen, supported by scientific progress and legislation that allows for its realization.
We believe that immortality as a human right is not just a revolutionary idea; it is a necessary step toward a future where every individual is empowered to live a long, fulfilling life, free from the limitations of aging and death.

Join us in urging the U.S. government to take this important step toward protecting and preserving human life for future generations.
