First off the Pros out weight the cons ten fold especially when looking long term not just for skateboarders, BMX riders, Children and their Parents, but for our community as well. The tourism it will bring, the safety issue, and the possible law suits from injuries on others properties makes this petition almost undeniably essential. Instead of business owners kicking kids out for having fun and trying to exercise they will have a place to go enjoy a healthy activity. All great Citys/Towns have skateparks, I would like to think of Campbellsville as being a great town. I'm starting a petition to bring to The Campbellsville City Council to build a new skate park or fix the slab of concrete that is a so called skatepark that we have. They may argue that we destroyed it but in the mid 2000s when it was first built it wasn't much and was easily destroyed because it was plastic ramps/quarter pipes. The only concrete was the ground and the only metal was the small amount of coping on the cheap ramps/quarter pipes. As far as the funds go I will personally do everything in my power to help. Their are plenty of fund raisers and I plan on starting one immediately. PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE people who ride on wheels need a designated place to do so.
