Ban Elephant Culling
- by: Piper Hoffman

New research proves that killing wild elephants destroys the social fabric of the surviving youngsters, leaving them unable to make good decisions and interact appropriately with each other. In South Africa it is legal for authorities to kill wild elephants if it believes there are too many of them. Because culling is barbaric and damages wild elephants for generations afterwards, South Africa should ban it.
Dear Minister van Schalkwyk,
New research proves that culling wild elephants inflicts damage on the survivors that lasts for generation, breaking down their social fabric and reducing their chances for survival. Please prohibit it.
Thank you.
