Animal Friendly Laws in Huntington Beach
The Huntington Beach City Council is about to vote on an ordinance that, if passed, will ban the sale of dogs and cats in retail stores.
Dear City Council Members,
Thank you for considering this important ordinance that addresses the national epidemic of puppy mills. By passing this ban you will be joining cities across the United States who refuse to contribute to breeders who profit from the misery of animals locked in a cage 24 x 7 with little to no human interaction. These dogs are used as nothing more than breeding machines. They never have a kind touch or feel the cool green grass on their paws.
You will be protecting our citizens from unknowingly purchasing animals bred in these facilities. Your leadership in addressing a national problem at the local level is commendable.
Thank you for making the right decision!
