Violation of ecological area in the serra de Monchique

O governo quer dar licencas a varias empresas para construir pedreiras na serra de Monchique. Isto vai destruir a serra para sempre. Salva a serra para as nossas criancas. A natureza tambem e valiosa para o turismo sustentavel. Obrigado

The Portuguese government is willing to give the rights to prospect minerals in several open mines (quarry) to private companies in the Serra de Monchique, Algarve, Portugal.
This is an ecological mountain area and one of the most beautiful parts of the Algarve. It is home of the Bonelli eagle and the new habitat for the Iberic Lynx.  Many small projects of sustainable tourism are developing here and the wonderful Via Algarviana passes through these mountains.
