Leopard left to die and rot in Gin-Trap.
This African Leopard was caught in a gin-trap and died an agonisingly painful and horrific death of dehydration and sepsis, then left there to rot. This is an accepted and common practice of Wool, Red Meat and Ostrich farmers in the Uniondale district of the Western Cape Province, South Africa. These magnificent wild animals as well as dozens of other wildlife meet a barbaric, cruel death in these traps every year. 15 000 gin-traps are produced each year by a company in Prince Albert, a quaint, attractive tourist destination in the Cape. These traps and other trapping methods are endorsed by the "National Problem Animal" Commitee who in turn are supported by the above Organisations. Please help save the African Leopard and other endangered wildlife by signing this petition today and by boycotting South African Wool, Mohair, Red Meat and Angora Products until this merciless practice is stopped. Many Farmers do not resort to these tactics yet by not helping to end this there is complicity!

Everywhere, worldwide, wildlife is being destroyed for the sake of human financial gain. The Leopard, which is endangered by stock farmers in your area, will soon be on the rare and then extinct list. We take it upon ourselves to boycott South African Wool, Red Meat and Mohair products until you end this bloody, merciless killing of these magnificent animals. We are aware that many South African Farmers face similar challenges yet do not resort to gin-traps and other barbaric means of protecting their stock.
