Cittadini del mondo, L'ENEL,(compagnia nazionale italiana dell'energia elettrica),ancora una volta mostra di perseguire i propri interessi in modo indegno. Al fine di costruire impianti idroelettrici in Guatemala,nel municipio di Cotazal, l'ENEL assolda (con i denari di tutti gli italiani) 500 mercenari in assetto di guerra con passamontagna e forze antisommossa per occupare la comunità indigena maya ixil di San Felipe Chenla,che dal 3 gennaio sta protestando contro la ENEL.La popolazione(indigena maya ixil) si oppone alla costruzione della centrale idroelettrica di Palo Viejo all’interno della Finca San Francisco di proprietà del latifondista Pedro Broll.Dopo aver elargito una bella somma al sindaco di Cotzal,ora latitante per omicidio,per progetti sociali (mai realizzati),senza mai aver consultato le popolazioni maya (ed il loro consiglio degli anziani, l'ENEL invoca l'intervento dello stato guatemalteco contro i nativi.Questi sarebbero colpevoli di aver bloccato la strada che i camion devono compiere per arrivare ai cantieri.In realtà la costituzione del Guatmala prevede che il popolo possa opporsi pacificamente allo stato se questo lede i suoi interessi (art.45 della costituzione del Guatemala).ENEL rappresenta l'Italia nel mondo e si sostenta grazie ai soldi dei contribuenti italiani,ma è anche una multinazionale che ha interessi ovunque.Anonymous non può accettare che le tradizioni dei pacifici maya ixil siano cancellate assieme ai loro villaggi, scarificati a causa di un'industria ingorda di denaro!
Inoltre lo stato del Guatemala ha violato la Convenzione 169 dell'organizzazione Mondiale del Lavoro ratificata dal Guatemala e la Dichiarazione ONU sui diritti dei popoli indigeni, infatti l'ENEL si è installata sul territorio senza il consenso dei popoli indigeni Maya e senza consultarli. ENEL viola in questo modo il suo codice etico

The construction of this plant involves the flooding of forests and low riverlands that will lead to destruction of precious ecosystems and Native Mayan Villages located along the river to the border with Mexico. ENEL has had no consultation with the Mayan Communities that reside by the river and has given no money towards the relocation of these villages that have been there for hundreds of years. On January the 3rd, large demonstrations were held to protest against this travesty that strips away the human rights of the Native Mayan people, however, they were met with hostile opposition from 500 armed mercenaries hired by ENEL (with funding acquired from the Italian Government) to silence the people with any force necessary. A blind contradiction Guatemala's constitution recognises the right of peaceful prostest(art.45 of Guatemala’s constitution). Nevertheless ENEL call for the intervention of Guatemala's State against Maya's people. ENEL Anonymous will not tolerate the greed of Multinational companies and Governments that are destroying the Ancient Mayan culure, Native villages and the precious rainforest ecosystem of Guatemala! ENEL you have commited a crime against humanity and you shall pay for your arrogance.
Moreover, the state of Guatemala has violated the International Labor Organization Convention 169 ratified by Guatemala and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, in fact, ENEL was installed on the territory without the consent of the indigenous Maya and without consulting them. ENEL violates, in this way. its code of ethics

Anonymous ne peut tolérer qu'une entreprise cupide détruise la culture et les villages du peuple Maya.

Siamo sinceramente disgustati nel vedere che la vostra azienda persegue progetti che oltraggiano la natura e antiche culture, violando le leggi che sanciscono la civile convivenza tra esseri umani, e per di pi� lo f� con soldi pubblici.
Come cittadini e come esseri umani esprimiamo il nostro dissenso nella convinzione che nessun interesse economico, energetico o di altro tipo possa giustificare la politica di intimidazione verso le comunit� native del Guatemala, politica attuata dalla vostra azienda con l'aiuto di almeno 500 uomini in assetto di guerra.

As citizens and as human beings we express our disagreement in the belief that no economic interest, energy or other , can justify the policy of intimidation toward native communities of Guatemala, the policy implemented by your company with the help of at least 500 men in order of war.
