We don't know a lot about who did this or what exactly happened. What we do know is that 27 animals were seized from a single home in Paris, Texas. We also know that they were so abused that many were considered to be having a medical emergency. As if that were not tragic enough, multiple dead cats and dogs were found in the home. Yet somehow, no one has yet been charged with animal cruelty!
Sign now to demand justice for this bunch of animals who've been living horrible lives for who knows how long!
One of the animals -- a dog named Hope -- was so sick and his fur so matted, that they couldn't even determine his gender until after his first surgery. Paws of Love Animal Shelter was able to save poor Harrison, the 3-year-old Shih Tzui pictured here. But when he arrived, his fur was matted with filth and feces, part of his paw was falling off,, and he was covered in fleas. Poor Hope must have been in a lot of pain.
No one should even have that many animals. This is especially true if they do not have the resources or ability to keep them all cared for and healthy. The fact that when authorities seized these creatures, there were dead animals left in the house to decompose tells us a lot. Whoever lived there and was hoarding these animals has no business caring for any living thing.
As of the last news report, authorities were still considering whether 6 of the animals could go back to this owner. Please sign the petition to demand this owner not get any of their animals back and instead be charged with animal cruelty!
