Every year, millions of unwanted Dogs and Cats slip through the cracks. These are the Dogs and Cats who are
- Dumped throughout rural and urban America, unable to fend for themselves;
- Abandoned and left to die slowly and alone in our deserts & swamps;
- Locked away, alone and starving, in empty buildings and deserted homes;
- Chained and left alone 24/7 to endure the elements without shelter, food or water;
- Hit by vehicles on our highways and roads and left, still alive, alone and suffering.
Save A Rescue launched the first-ever national Hotline giving the public a resource to report animal suffering and cruelty and seek aid and immediate support for solutions. In just 18 months, we fielded more than 20,000+ calls and were able to save more than 7,000+ Dogs and Cats
These 20,000+ calls were just the "tip of the iceberg." There is an epidemic of animal cruelty and suffering that goes mostly unchecked. These pets need immediate intervention to be saved from further pain and suffering. That's why we're fighting for a government-funded dedicated 911-like hotline for Cats and Dogs so people in every community can help pets in life-threatening situations.
A hotline is a powerful and simple solution that could save hundreds of thousands of Dogs and Cats every year for less than five cents per taxpayer. The bitterly cold winter weather is upon us, and thousands more Cats and Dogs will freeze to death before spring.
Please sign and share this petition to help us make the 911 for Cats and Dogs a reality.
