Since the Wall Street Journal broke the news on billionaire casino magnet Steve Wynn's appalling sexual misconduct in the work place, accounts keep rolling in and he continues to deny allegations.
Why should Las Vegas honor a man who is a serial misogynist with multiple accusers and more coming every day by continuing to have a street named after him?
I'm asking the City of Las Vegas to strip Steve Wynn of this honor and consider renaming the Street to honor one of the silence breakers who have been brave enough to speak out against him.
It is not new for cities to remove branding around street names and public parks for people who have proven dishonorable. San Francisco recently voted to rename Justin Herman Plaza following a campaign lead by residents stating Herman, who led the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency in the 1960s, has become linked in the city's history with "urban renewal" and "slum clearance" projects that displaced thousands of residents and small businesses in the Western Addition and should not be honored by the City.
Las Vegas shouldn't wait until 20 years from now to take action when they can make a statement as a City to the rest of the Country and beyond that people like Wynn are not to be honored!
Please sign my petition asking the City of Las Vegas to re-name Wynn Blvd.
