Authorities in Lincoln County, Oklahoma were alerted of terrifying cases of animal abuse issues at a local farm. But authorities simply gave warnings to the mother and daughter who operated the farm, and guess what? Their behavior did not change whatsoever. The animals' conditions did not improve.

Two cows were euthanized, and 70 others were rescued from extreme malnourishment. And it didn't have to be this way.

Fast forward a few months, and the family was charged with nearly 50 counts of animal abuse. Why did authorities wait? And could those two poor cows have been saved if they didn't?

When investigators arrived on the scene, they noted that most of the animals didn't have access to food or water. The cows and horses' ribs and hip bones were visible because they were so malnourished, and many of the animals were literally filled with parasites.

When authorities are alerted of abuse cases, there should be immediate action taken to protect the animals involved. Sign now to tell the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: it is time to stand up against animal abuse! Improve your abuse protocols so that no more animals needlessly suffer!
