As world leaders negotiate a ceasefire deal, innocent civilians are trapped in a living nightmare. Intensified bombing has killed and maimed people with many losing their limbs in brutal attacks. Homes, schools and hospitals lie in ruins forcing people to live in constant fear.
The situation is dire.
Families are sheltering in shattered homes exposing them to attack and cutting them off from access to basic needs such as water, food and healthcare. These innocent civilians are not soldiers, these are ordinary men, women, children and the elderly caught in the crossfire. No place is safe. The physical injuries are serious, with some people needing amputation and losing all their independence in an instant.
Since 2022, the war has claimed the lives of almost 40,000 civilian victims including more than 12,000 dead and 27,000 wounded. But behind these numbers are real people, grieving mothers and traumatised families. No child should wake up to the sounds of piercing sirens and bombings.
Humanity & Inclusion strongly condemns this horrific violence and the repeated and ongoing destruction of civilian infrastructure. The suffering of civilians must end now! Sign the petition to demand urgent action to protect civilians.
