Take Action Now! Tell Congress to Put Florida Patients Over Profits.

The 340B Drug Pricing Program was created to help vulnerable patients access the medications they need at discounted rates. However, the program has veered offtrack from its original purpose and is no longer helping Florida patients access the care they need. Instead, pharmacy middlemen are using to program to funnel profits into their pockets and not acting in the best of interest of Floridians.

Urge your legislator to take action to protect patients today.

Act now and send a letter to your lawmaker urging them to protect Florida patients and prioritize policies which increase transparency and oversight into the federal 340B program and ensure that 340B is working as intended for vulnerable communities.

Dear Representative,

As your constituent, I am writing to you today to bring your attention to the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program, a federal drug discount program that has strayed far from its intended purpose and is no longer serving Florida patients in need.

The 340B program was established by Congress to provide discounted medications to low-income and uninsured patients. Large pharmacy chains and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) - health industry middlemen who negotiate drug prices on behalf of insurance plans they represent - have found a way to pocket 340B profits. Under 340B hospitals contract with pharmacies, the majority of which are PBM owned, to dispense discounted medications. These PB Ms are exploiting the program to drive profits and increase their margins.

It's clear that 340B is broken and in need of reform. I urge you to take action and increase transparency and accountability into the program to ensure hat should be going to vulnerable Florida patients are the ones benefiting from this program.

Thank you
