In the U.S., there are 6-8 million homeless animals entering animal shelters every year. Only half of these animals are adopted, and the other half are tragically euthanized.

The importance of spaying or neutering your pet cannot be understated. Whether you have a male or female pet, it is always possible for unplanned litters to occur, and this many animals is a huge responsibility. Therefore, many of these animals end up in shelters.

Spaying or neutering is the only 100% effective method of birth control for your pets. We need to make sure that we are doing everything we can to reduce the number of animals in shelters, and therefore the number of animals that are euthanized every year.
