On April 26, President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for a review of many national monuments that have been protected in recent decades for potential elimination or reduction, including incredible landscapes such as Utah's Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante, Nevada's Basin and Range and Gold Butte, Maine's Katahdin Woods and Waters, and Oregon's Cascade-Siskiyou. This threatens our nation's heritage and the iconic public lands and waters that are critical to our economy and our way of life.
With your help, we can demonstrate the overwhelming public support for all national monuments. Americans have been given until July 10 to defend our national monuments through public comment.
National monuments belong to all of us. And that's why 16 presidents—both Democrats and Republicans—have designated monuments to safeguard places that are as different from one another as California's Carrizo Plain, Utah's Bryce Canyon, and Oregon Caves. National monuments also help tell the rich story of our nation, from the Statue of Liberty to the Underground Railroad to the Cesar Chavez National Monument. Americans overwhelmingly support our national monuments, and no president has ever revoked a predecessor's monument designation.
Our nation's monuments are special places. Local citizens and Americans across the nation—sportsmen, business leaders, Native Americans, veterans, conservationists, recreation enthusiasts, members of the faith community—agree that they should be preserved for future generations.
It is imperative that we speak up when our public lands are at risk. Ask Secretary Ryan Zinke and President Trump to protect America's national monuments for future generations. Please send your letter today!

Dear President Trump and Secretary Zinke:
I support upholding the current boundaries of all 27 national monuments under review.
Since President Theodore Roosevelt signed the Antiquities Act into law in 1906, 16 presidents—eight Republicans and eight Democrats—have used the authority granted by the act to safeguard public lands, oceans, and historic sites in order to share America’s story and birthright with future generations.
Our national monuments and public lands and waters help define who we are as a nation by telling the rich story of our historical, cultural, and natural heritage. These incredible resources are also critical to local economies—driving tourism, outdoor recreation, and a quality of life associated with healthy public lands.
Americans from across the country and visitors from all over the world cherish our national monuments, including local business owners, veterans, local elected officials, sportsmen, Native American tribes, and members of the faith community. Any fair review of these national monuments must consider the depth of public support for every monument under review.
Support for conserving these important places is strong, and the public overwhelmingly opposes weakening protections for national parks, monuments, and other public lands and waters.
