Eeach year 2 million calves are sent to the slaughter in New Zealand either for being the wrong sex or to collect insurance or simply being of a non money making gene pool.
Why do farmers still use artificial breeding for unwanted calves? (Milk Production) chances are if its a bull calf its off to the works but the mother cow will produce milk as a result of that birth and thats good enough for the farmer.
As this recent link says they are trying to reduce the amount of killings? (WTF) (REDUCE) That means nothing - Its an Abomination.
I am guilty for having had worked on farms for taking young calves off their mothers to send to death. Do not be fooled by the beautiful idea of New Zealand. It is because of the cows that New Zealand is a country.
This petition needs big numbers so i have chosen a historic and special number of signatures to aim for.
